What to expect on your first visit to Reset MCR

Walking into a new barbershop can feel like walking into a new gym — everyone's in the know except you. But at Reset MCR, we've deliberately built an experience that puts you at ease from the moment you arrive. Here's the full run-through so you know what to expect.
Booking online (or walking in)
Most clients book through our online diary — pick your barber, pick your time, and you're locked in. If you prefer spontaneity, walk-ins are welcome between 9am and 5pm, Tuesday through Saturday. If there's a wait, we'll give you an honest time estimate and you're welcome to grab a coffee nearby.
When you arrive
We're under the railway arches on Market Street in Stalybridge — hard to miss. Walk in, say hello, and we'll offer you a complimentary drink. Coffee, water, or something cold. Take a seat, relax, and soak in the space. No rushed queues, no awkward hovering.
The consultation
Before any clippers touch your head, your barber will talk to you. What are you after? Growing it out or keeping it tight? Any photos or references? We'll also look at your hair type and growth pattern — some heads need a different approach, and we plan for that upfront. This conversation takes two minutes and saves twenty minutes of fixing later.
The cut
Jack and Jaden work with precision — tight fades, clean lines, and attention to detail you can feel. Every service includes a hot towel finish and straight-razor neckline tidy. It's the difference between a haircut and a proper grooming session. Most cuts take 30–45 minutes depending on the style.
Aftercare advice
Before you leave, we'll tell you how to maintain the cut between visits — product recommendations, styling tips, and when to book your next appointment. We want you looking sharp for the full two or three weeks, not just the first day.
Payment and rebooking
We take card and cash. If you're happy with the cut — and we think you will be — we'll set up your next appointment before you leave. Recurring bookings mean you never have to think about it. Same barber, same standard, no queue.
